CHINQUAPIN HILL

The original farmhouse, built by the owner’s grandmother and now the center of a multi-property family compound, was too small for five active children, extended family, and a menagerie of pets.  Improvements were made such as replacing the aluminum siding with stucco. The character and scale of the original house is preserved on the street side, while on the rear it extends into a landscape developed for play.
